Temple Touch Thermometer Review And Giveaway (Now Closed)

Thanks to the ReliOn Temple Touch Mini Thermometer I now have a much simpler and quicker way of taking my sons temperature.

templetouchminithermometer

This handy little thermometer utilizes a unique sensor that rapidly samples the heat flowing from the blood vessels to the skin surface and translates it accurately to body temperature.  How rapidly you wonder? Well, try 6-8 seconds.  Operating the Temple Touch is just as quick and only involves 4 small steps:

*Press and release power button

*Wait for unit to beep twice

*Hold firmly to temple, wait for next beep.

*Read results.

If only it had arrived about 2 days sooner it would have been perfect timing.  My son was bit last weekend by what we think was a spider. He wasn’t feeling well and I wanted to keep an eye on his temperature. I pulled out my little kit that I had bought before he was born.  I soon discovered though that it was impossible to keep the digital thermometer under his armpit.  He stood still for approximately a minute and the thing still hadn’t finished registering. In the end I wasn’t able to get an accurate reading and had to rely on my hand.  It was a serious situation but not as serious as it could have been had he been ill with the flu or something worse.

I am completely prepared for the next time now that I have the Temple Touch.  I already tested it out on my son several times and because he only had to sit still for 6 seconds, it was a breeze.

As far as I’m concerned I’ll never use another digital thermometer again.

More About The Temple Touch

The  Temple Touch Mini Thermometer is a little more than 4 1/2 inches big.  It sells for $12.99 on their site (They’re out of stock unfortunately) but I hear that they retail for less than $10 at Wal-Mart. It also comes ready to go with 2 AAA batteries, and best of all.. no tip covers needed!

I use a regular digital thermometer. I’d like to try this because I have to put the digital one under my daughters arm and wait and wait and wait and it’s such a fight because she hates it. This seems like it would be so much easier.

I use the ear thermometers and always seem to have to repeat it a few times to average out the readings due to variance in the readouts. I think this one will be more accurate and liked by little ones.

Currently, I use the disposable strips, but I am not convinced of their accuracy. I have a smaller digital thermometer, but my grandson doesn’t like it. They’re cranky when they are sick! This would allow the temple reading, with remarkable accuracy. Oh, boy, could I use that!

I’m a poor grad student, so I use the good old hand touch to the forehead method, and if I feel bad enough, I will use the doctor’s thermometer at his/her office!

I currently use the digital one that you put under the arm but not always sure about its accuracy!! Would love to try this out!

I use a digital under the arm thermometer but when kids are sick they don’t want to sit with it under their arm and wait for it to beep.

Hi, I’m not using any thermometer. When I’m feeling feverish, usually I’ll just pop over to the nearest clinic. I would really love to try this one because it will save me all the trouble of going to a clinic.

We use a digital thermometer, and it’s ok, but I’d like something more accurate and less invasive.

We just use a regular thermometer for taking temps. I would love to win because it seems like a better way to take temps. Thanks for the chance!

We use a digital type thermometer but not sure how accurate it is anymore. This would be better as I think it would be easier to use and accurate.

I currently use a digital thermometer. I think temporal thermometers are the most accurate
