Remember when roughly 2 months ago I told you all about Fracture and they’re unique new way of framing photos? You don’t? Well please read my post before continuing. Believe me you want to check them out. http://first-time-mommy.com/blog/2010/08/fracture-a-new-way-to-print-and-frame-your-favorite-pictures/
When I received the opportunity to review a Fracture frame from Fracture and Twittermoms I was excited but I knew I’d be giving birth soon and I wanted to wait until I had just the right photo to test it out. I would have used a photo of my 2 year old but I had already taken and framed a few really good photos of him myself. I wanted to be able to compare the fracture frame against the conventional way of framing.
As you know I gave birth in September to my 2nd son, Aidan. I was lucky enough to be visited by a professional photographer while I was in the hospital (the days of baby snapshots are over I guess) because that was literally all they offered. I was scared of the pricing of course but once I seen the beautiful photos this woman had taken of my new baby boy, I actually cried. I knew I would be choosing one of these photos.
Packaging
So I sent away for my 8×10 and I waited very impatiently. Not long after I received the final product in the mail. The packaging was absolutely superb. They had a mock frame around the actual glass to keep it from breaking and the whole thing was in a very tightly packaged box that looked like it could hold up very well. Because I love entering sweepstakes I have often received items in the mail that looked like someone literally jumped on them at the warehouse before kicking them in to my mailbox . This was certainly not the case with my fracture frame. I couldn’t have been more delighted.
Quality
When I finally opened it up and was able to inspect it I was blown away. The picture was of course very high quality so it was easier to judge the frame in an unbiased way. If it had been blurry or pixelated I think you might be tempted to blame Fracture instead of yourself. In this case though there was no doubt that their way of framing is just absolutely awesome.
Affordable Pricing
The best part about all of this is that their 8×10 frame is only $12! When I originally seen the price I thought to myself “well, you get what you pay for. I hope it’s not junk”. But trust me when I say that it’s far from that. It’s actually so stylish that I want to get all my pictures “fractured” to hang on my newly remodeled living room. I also want to send my in-laws that live in Norway a few fractured pictures. I would normally never consider doing something like that due to the fact that after a week traveling across the world most packages arrive looking more like they’ve spent 6 months traveling.
The Proof
As they say “The proof is in the pudding”. Here’s a picture of the fracture I ordered. This is an 8×10.
Conclusion
Fracture frames are something you absolutely have to try for yourself. You won’t want to go back to ordinary frames. You can find out everything about them, as well as connect with them online at the links below.
