Lately I’ve been coming across things here and there that I would have loved to of had when I was pregnant. The latest is the Bed Buddy Aromatherapy Hot and Cold Pack. I can’t tell you how much I love this thing!

If you have sore muscles, aches, pains, or even if you just get chilly at night you have to get the new aromatherapy bed buddy. The new aromatherapy version is an extension of the regular bed buddy except this time they come in 3 exciting fragrances and colors that include:

  • Pink Bliss “uplifting and healing”
  • Green Fresh “ purifying and invigorating”
  • Orange Balance “comforting and calming” bedbuddyfresh

I know.. you’re like “ok what the heck is a bed buddy?” Well, check out the picture to the right to get a better idea.

The Aromatherapy Bed Buddy is filled with 100% natural grain, herbs and flowers. You can stick it in the freezer overnight and use as a cold pack or you can heat it in your microwave and you have an instant hot pack.

The Review

I have a Vitamin D deficiency and when things are bad, things are bad all over. My bones hurt so horribly, especially my back. Some days I can barely get out of the bed. Before getting pregnant this second time around I was feeling much better because I had started on 50,000 units of Vit D per week. That lasted most of my pregnancy BUT unfortunately I was stricken with kidney stones several times, just as in my first pregnancy.  I know people will tell you it’s just as bad as giving birth but as someone who has given birth to a 10lb baby with an only 1/2 working epidural I am here to tell you it’s not as bad! lol. However, it really does hurt.. probably worse than most other pain you’ve ever felt.

I so wish I had the Aromatherapy bed buddy when my kidney stones showed up! or during my first pregnancy when I had low Vit D and had no clue what was wrong with me, only that I hurt so much I wanted to cry 24/7.

The Aromatherapy Bed Buddy is awesome. I thought for sure it wouldn’t stay heated long enough to do any good but I was very wrong. I heated mine for less than 2 minutes and it stayed warm for hours! Oooh the relief was so nice. I put it on my back and laid in my bed and fell fast asleep. When I woke up it felt like all my muscles had relaxed. It was wonderful.

I have the “Orange Balance” which is scented with Nutmeg, Vanilla, Coconut & Almond to comfort and calm. The smell is nice. It was ironic it arrived during the late Autumn because the smell really reminds me of the fall weather. It really is a very calming scent.

I highly suggest the Aromatherapy Bed Buddy for anyone expecting or recovering from birth. It would even make a great baby shower present. Your friend might think it a bit strange when she receives it but when those backaches hit and she finally tries it out you’ll be her best friend! well, after her Aromatherapy Bed Buddy that is.

  1. At that price, I can afford to have one..we will probably go with the regular bed buddy though because we are highly sensitive to anything scented. Nice review!

  2. I have had the regular bed buddy for quite awhile and really like it. The Aromatherapy ones sound like they’d be nice to try, too.
