Introducing Whole Foods Market – Earth Conscious Cleaners (Review)

As the mother of 2 small children I am always on the lookout for cleaning products that are safer to use around kids than the more familiar products that you or I may have grown up with, especially ones that I feel comfortable sharing with my readers, who I know have children as well.

We all know how kids are. They touch everything! and usually anything they can pick up will go into their mouths. The last thing I want as a mom is to be using cleaning products with harsh chemicals or ones that leave tons of residue. 2 1/2 years ago when I set out on a mission to change my ways and become more green (I’m still working on it) I never realized so many products existed.

It can be expensive to try out new products only to find they don’t work. That’s why when Whole Foods asked me if I’d like to put their new Earth conscious cleaners to the test I happily obliged.

About Whole Foods Market Earth Conscious Cleaners

Whole Foods Market’s new line of earth-conscious cleaners are phosphate, chlorine and phthalate-free, scented only with essential oils, and always include the ingredient lists to prove it.

I tried the following with success:

Whole Foods Market All Purpose Concentrated Cleaner:   This can replace your regular pine scented cleaner. It has a great scent, not quite as strong as you may be used to but it smells wonderfully.  Use it to clean various surfaces in your bathroom or kitchen. It’s concentrated, so a little goes a long way.

Whole Foods Market All Purpose Citrus-Scented Spray Cleaner:  Can be used just about anywhere except unfinished wood surfaces. I used it on my countertops, stovetop, refrigerator door, kitchen table. It has a great citrus scent that really leaves your place smelling fresh, and it works great!

365 Everyday Value and Whole Foods Market Liquid Dish Soap (available in Citrus, Mandarin Ginger or Unscented):  I can’t say enough good things about the Mandarin-Ginger scented dish soap. It smells so wonderful and it suds just as well as any chemically-laden cleaner I’ve used. I look forward to trying the citrus next.

Other Earth Conscious Cleaning Products Available:
