Purex Complete With Zout Review and Giveaway (Now Closed)

2 years ago when I became a Purex Insider for the first time I had never used Purex products. At least that I can remember. Over the years I had been one of those people who tried anything that was on sale because the regular detergent that I had grown up with was out of my price range.

By the time Purex came along I had chosen one particular brand and stuck with it for quite some time. It was very cheap, didn’t smell like much of anything, but it worked well enough. Not great, well enough.  When I had the chance to test out the 3-in-1 laundry sheets from Purex I was hooked. Since then I’ve tried a few things here and there, like the new crystals but the 3-in-1 sheets are still my thing.

Not to long ago though my husband, who washes a lot of his work clothes at a laundromat told me he didn’t think the sheets worked well with their machines. I have a suspicion that he is using the giant machines, overstuffing them and then throwing in only 1 sheet expecting it to wash the whole load. How do I know this? A lot of the time he comes home and his clothes although clean, smell like… nothing… and of course because I have been witness to his inability to learn how to sort clothes. Why sort when you can throw everything in 1 machine lol.

So not to long ago I decided my husband would go back to using liquid detergent and I could have my fabulous 3-in-1 sheets all to myself. That’s when Purex came along and introduced Purex Complete with Zout.

Since his work clothes can get super dirty I figure anything that’s easy enough for him to use himself I’ll try out.  I decided to give him the Purex Free and Clear because secretly I wanted to test out the new crystals and didn’t want any other scents in the mix. I sent him on his way with everyone’s clothes this time. When he came home I was pleasantly surprised. The babies clothes were clean, with no scent. Mine and my toddlers clothes were clean and smelled wonderful like the crystals softener that he had added… and his work clothes? Acceptably clean.
