Simple Green All-Purpose Non-Toxic Cleaner – Review and Giveaway (Now Closed)

Simple Green

Back in 2009 I had the opportunity to review Simple Green’s new natural line of products. I was completely excited because I was really starting to change the way I thought about cleaning products. With a baby in the house I no longer wanted to resort to using the same strong chemical laden cleaners. I started using up all my old cleaners and replacing them with “green” products instead. No longer was I going to suffer through the smell of bleach, or ammonia.. and there was no way I was going to bring those things around my baby.

Skip forward to 2011 and here I am with a 3 year old and a 6 month old. Another baby in the house! This time around I have a totally new way of doing things. Once in a while I will use your typical store bought product but those times are few and far between. My first love is for eco-friendly and all-natural products. Especially those that are non-toxic.

I still use the Simple Green Naturals (which are already diluted) but my number 1 go-to product for cleaning around my house is the original Simple Green.Simplegreenoriginal

Removes The Stains We Don’t Talk About

My top use for Simple Green? I hope you’re not squeamish…. it’s.. removing baby poop stains!I was going to provide you with a picture but I didn’t think that would go over well lol.  Trust me though when I say that NOTHING removes baby poop, spit up, marker, dirt, mud, grass stains, blood stains, motor oil stains, pet stains..or any other disgusting stain you need to remove!  And if it doesn’t remove the stain then you know that you had it diluted too much or you only tried washing it once (on seriously tough stains like oil it may take several washes) because I’m telling you, Simple Green has removed any stain I put it to the test on.

This isn’t something that they go around shouting out, nope, they’re pretty humble. This is my own opinion and experience, taken from my own use of the product for almost 20 years! and here I give you a little bit of proof.

I have no clue what kind of stain this was on my toddler’s pajamas. It looked like chocolate, and since you know I don’t freely hand over chocolate to my toddler I’m going to have to assume his Dad let him make his own chocolate milk. Argh! This stain was at least a week old.

So, there you have it. If the stain doesn’t come out in the first wash I always give it one more chance. I really can’t recall a time that the clothing hasn’t been salvaged. It has always worked on our families baby stains without fail.
