Crystal Light–Flavor Over Fizz Challenge

I’ve found over the years that the more pop (as we call it here in the Midwest) I buy, the more pop I drink and the more pop I drink, the more pop I buy. Stunning revelation isn’t it? lol. I had been doing great avoiding it while I was pregnant. I actually went a record 6 months or so without it. No caffeine either! Then I slipped and the ball just kept rolling from there…

Not long ago I decided to take the Crystal Light Flavor Over Fizz Challenge, courtesy of Glam Media and replace my sugary pop with Crystal Light. I’m so glad I did! I’m taking in more water, I’m staying hydrated, I don’t feel anywhere near as guilty, and best of all, I can share it with my toddler.

But sometimes Mommy needs a drink that’s all hers. This is one of those drinks (since it contains strawberry Energy) and it’s a great way to dress up your Crystal Light on a hot summer day.

  • Mix up one packet of Natural Lemonade Crystal Light, add in a 1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla & freeze.
  • Mix up one packet of Strawberry Energy Crystal Light & freeze.
  • Wait, very impatiently.
  • Retrieve the frozen Crystal Light, and toss in a blender with a couple extra ice cubes. (Do each flavor separately).
  • Pour the Strawberry Crystal Light that has now turned in to a slush, in a glass. Top it off with the Natural Lemonade Crystal Light.
  • Add a straw
  • Go in the “office”, close all the blinds, and hide from the sun (and anyone trying to steal my Crystal Light).
