It’s Hot Out There! Win a Bottle of Unburn (Emergency Sunburn Care) For Your First Aid Kit (Now Closed)

Unburn is a Vitamin E-enriched, water-based gel with 2.5% Lidocaine that works quickly to relieve the pain of sunburn. Unburn immediately cools and soothes the skin while its moisture-rich Vitamin E formula with Aloe helps prevent peeling. It has a pleasant smell as it also contains spearmint oil and I am glad to say that it comes with a childproof cap which we all know is a must when we have kids in the house.

It can also be used for the temporary relief of pain associated with:

  • minor burns
  • sunburn
  • minor cuts
  • scrapes
  • insect bites
  • minor skin irritations

This mean’s it’s not only a good thing to have around during the hot summer months but also a great item to keep in your First Aid kit for bug bites.

Here in Michigan where I live we have tons of mosquitos. Right now the heat is keeping them at bay but when it cools back down again (you know to the 80’s!) they’ll be back with a vengeance. Because Unburn has lidocaine in it, that makes it a great alternative to those expensive little bug bite sticks you can buy. Some people don’t like the sting you feel when you apply them. There doesn’t appear to be any sting with Unburn.

Cautions

Unburn is for use on children and adults 2 years of age and older and is not to be used in large quantities, particularly over raw surfaces or blistered areas. Like any burn relief it’s not to be used for an extended period of time.

This product contains tea tree oil.

Where To Buy

You can buy Unburn online for $4.99 (half price) right now at: http://www.waterjel.com/

I always burn the first time I go out in the sun for the season. This year it took a mere 10 minutes!

We have a big garden and work out in the sun all the time. This year I really burned the first couple of times I was out there and thought I would not have any skin left when I finished peeling.

I could have used “Unburn” when I was younger, and we went to the beach a lot; because I have fair skin and burn very easily.

I have super fair skin so this would be great for the unexpected burn. I’m also like a magnet for mosquitos so I’d like to try this for itch relief.

One time, while at the local pool, I decided to dry off by relaxing on my towel on the grass … and fell asleep in the sun for somewhere around an hour. I woke up with an unpleasant sunburn on my back, for which having Unburn would probably have been helpful and comforting
