Country Crock Holiday Veggies Kit Giveaway (Now Closed)

My favorite holiday veggie side dish? Candied yams. I have to admit that I literally eat the leftovers for days until they’re all gone & I may be a little weird because instead of gravy on my turkey I actually like the yam sauce. They’re super easy to make. Just a little margarine, brown sugar, molasses, & cinnamon & either fresh yams or yams in a can. Top them off with marshmallows and I’m in heaven!

Country crock has a variety of recipes on their site that are perfect for the holidays. If you’re feeling creative you might even get some last minute ideas for New Years. One that I’m considering trying is the Mashed Gingered Carrots. We love carrots around here. As I plan to make a big dinner for New Years Eve I am thinking about including them then. Of course because I have to try to fit yams in there one more time I might just go for the Cinnamon Roasted Sweet Potatoes. Did you know that in Norway, where my husband is from it’s popular tradition to eat a Turkey on New Years Eve rather than Christmas Eve?

What are your favorite holiday veggie side dishes? You can tell me below in a comment for a chance to win an awesome prize pack featuring a non-stick pan from Calphalon & a coupon for Country Crock.
