Perrigo Nutritionals Gift Pack Giveaway (Formula, Dispenser, Bottle Brush, Drying Rack, Book) (Now Closed)

“With so much misinformation out there, many moms aren’t aware that they can save up to 50% on infant formula, by choosing a store brand over a national brand. In case you are not familiar with store brand infant formula, it is sold under individual retailer brands, such as Walmart’s Parent’s Choice and Target’s Up & UpThey are as nutritionally complete as the national brands, yet are typically half the price of the national brands, and can save you about $600 a year.  Perrigo Nutritionals is the largest supplier of store brand infant formula and nutrition products in the world and one of only four companies recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for meeting the strict FDA requirements for safety, nutrition, and quality for infant formula-manufacturing in the United States.”

Even though I’m a big supporter of breastfeeding I have supplemented for a time with all of my babies for various reasons. My oldest son weaned himself from the breast at 6 months and I had to no choice but to switch to formula. He was biting me, moving all around, wouldn’t sit still (sort of how he is today minus the biting lol). I also have PCOS so sometimes that can mess with your milk supply. Thankfully by the time my second son came around I was a little more confident in my abilities to nurse exclusively. But there was still about a month where I supplemented him with formula.  I had a large amount of stress here at home and the milk just didn’t come fast enough. When the stress subsided I went back to nursing exclusively (Yes it’s possible) and did so until 16 months.

I will always encourage mothers that want to, to nurse their babies, but there are people out there that may want or may need to use formula. In my case I’m very happy that there was an alternative to the more expensive name brand formulas.  I have used both Walmart’s Parent’s Choice brand and Target’s Up & Up without any problems what-so-ever. Both of my babies needed the gentle or sensitive formula. They are nutritionally equivalent to the name-brands which cost a ton more!!  They also saved us a lot of money with my oldest son because back then I was on WIC & couldn’t afford to pay for all the formula myself. He was consuming over 10 small cans per month & that is where WIC cuts you off.  Yeah, he was a big eater!

I urge you to check out the storebrandformula.com website and get more information, as well as check out those cans next time you’re at the store. Make a comparison, and stop wasting your precious money!
