Recently, First-Time-Mommy.com reader & guest reviewer, Nora, was given the awesome opportunity to try out the Evenflo Exersaucer Jump & Learn Jam Session & experience it first-hand. She let’s us know what she thinks below. But first, a little information on the Evenflo Exersaucer.

Evenflo® ExerSaucer® Jump & Learn™ Jam Session

“The Evenflo® ExerSaucer® Jump & Learn™ offers parents a safe and stable environment for their children to jump, learn and play. A variety of age-appropriate toys were developed in conjunction with the Child Development Institute to help baby achieve important developmental milestones. Spin and jump actions also provide baby with plenty of exercise to strengthen gross motor skills. The unique balance base helps to build core strength and coordination, and the electronic smart toys work together to play 1 of 3 genres of music when baby activates that genre on the conductor toy pod.” – Evenflo.com

The Evenflo Exersaucer Features the following:

  • 67 fun learning activities to help babies achieve important developmental milestones
  • “Smart” electronic toys that interact with one another providing baby with fun lights and sounds in 3 genres of music
  • 3-Position Height Adjustment which grows with the child to provide maximum product value.
  • Machine-washable seat pad that is easy to remove
  • Take With Me Toys™  provide for customizable learn and play experience
  • Bouncy base gives baby a soft landing pad that promotes stability in early development

Nora’s Thoughts

“When I first received the Evenflo exersaucer for my 3 ½ month old daughter I thought she might be interested in bouncing around, but when I put her in it, I realized she’s just a wee bit too small; her feet don’t reach the floor.  However, my friend was over with her daughter, who’s 9 months (the baby pictured here), and she really enjoyed the exersaucer. I imagine mine will be ready by the time she’s 5 or 6 months old, and I can’t wait to bring it out again!   I really liked it, and the two girls did too. What’s nice is that it’s clearly versatile, reaching a big age range.

One thing I loved about this exersaucer is that it stimulated my baby without over-stimulating her or driving me mad with obnoxious sounds. There was just enough music to entertain her. Also, it’s not an eye sore. It is colorful and busy enough to attract and keep their attention, yet not so embellished that it’s anxiety-inducing or amusement parkesque. The best part about this exersaucer is the bouncer and seat: she can bounce up and down, which saves us from spending unnecessarily on a separate bouncer, and the seat spins, so she can look at all the different toys or something else that’s going on in the room, like me!

One challenge I didn’t anticipate when becoming a parent is the complicated engineering required to assemble most children’s toys, beds, etc. But this exersaucer was beyond easy to put together. Usually, I ask my husband to handle these things (after several failed attempts from me, of course), but I handled this one on my own: easy peasy.”
