Diono Radian RXT Car Seat for Less than $194 TODAY at Kohls.com (Reg 299.99)

If you’re expecting or you’re in need of a new car seat you seriously need to take this deal into consideration. I own 3 of these car seats & paid over $250 for 2 of them at BuyBabyBuy & that was by showing them I could find a cheaper deal on Amazon. In the end it was cheaper than buying a new car but expensive enough that I obviously had to save up.

If I had known how great Diono Radian RXT’s were from the beginning it would have been the first & last type of car seat I ever bought (Instead I wasted a lot of money upgrading each time my 1st kid grew). Do you know how much easier & cheaper it is to have 1 car seat the entire time?? (Minus the baby carrier because those come in very handy in the beginning).

These car seats are some of the only car seats that I know of that will fit 3 across in the back seat of a regular sized vehicle. I drive a 4 door Sebring & these seats just fit, snuggly. It took me ages to decide on this type of car seat AFTER consulting with the moms on the First-Time-Mommy.com Facebook page several times over the course of a year.

In the end Diono’s won out for me due to the following:

  • Their safety record & design
  • The fact that they will fit 3 across a vehicle
  • Their style (They have some cool colors)
  • Most importantly because you can fit a child into a 5 point harness up to 80lbs.
  • Children can be rear facing up to 45lbs.

The final decision came when my child turned 4 and I had to put him into a booster seat. That’s when I realized how incredibly flimsy booster seats were & just how easy it was for a 4 year old to get out of them if they really wanted to. To be honest it felt like I was moving my kid from an armored vehicle (5 point harness) to a bicycle. (booster seat).

People will always tell you “Well I had to put my kid in a booster because they’re so big” or “I had to turn them forward facing because they’re so tall!”.   Well I’m here to say 2 of my kids are in the 95th percentile for height & weight & the other one is off the charts. As some of you know my last baby was born almost 12lbs. My kids are BIG.   Diono’s work great for us & I feel a lot more secure.

We own 2 Shadows for the boys & Silje has the purple Radian.  Here’s a pic of them all in the car together last year before we bought Silje’s, when she was still in her baby carrier. See how they all fit nicely?
