#WaterWipes–The World’s Purest Baby Wipes–Now Available in the US

This post was sponsored by WaterWipes as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.

As a mother of 3 young children, I’ve been using baby wipes for over 7 years straight. I’ve tried most of the brands on the market. In the beginning I think I went more for what I knew; such as a brand that my mother used for my siblings, or friends used for their children. I can admit now that I blindly trusted that they were acceptable based on nothing more than I had seen people I knew using these products.  As the years went on I started gravitating away from such choices and decided I really wanted to navigate towards brands that were more natural, organic, or consisted of very minimal ingredients. Just recently I discovered a new brand of wipes called WaterWipes and they fit perfectly into this category.

My daughter, although she is 3 now still wears overnight diapers due to an issue with her bladder not emptying properly.  She see’s a urologist and we’re hoping her issues resolve within the next year or so. I stopped using wipes with her because she is prone to infection & if the wipes contain any sort of perfume or dyes we’re not aware of it can cause agitation, and to be honest I read an ingredient list on the internet not long ago & was flabbergasted by all the extra stuff in some of the wipes that I never knew about. Many times I have wondered if that exacerbated my babies rashes over the years. Trust me I have dealt with tons of rashes.

WaterWipes are a premium European brand, they actually started out in Ireland. The creators daughter suffered from sensitive skin as a baby & he set out trying to create a better, more natural wipe that didn’t contain a ton of harsh chemicals. These are the types of companies I absolutely love to support because they’re made from the heart. So let me tell you a little more about them:

About WaterWipes

WaterWipes are a chemical free baby wipe that contains only two ingredients, 99.9% purified water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. They don’t contain preservatives so the packages themselves keep for around 15 months before opened and once you open them it is recommended that they are used within 1 month.  They are also not interfolded so this allows there to be a more sterile environment inside the packaging. You’re picking up one wipe at a time as opposed to them all sticking together.  At this time they do not recommended that you remove the wipes from the package & put them into any other sort of container. It’s a little different than what you are used to, but in a good way! It’s a lot less complicated actually.

So I used the WaterWipes Store Locator on their website and discovered they were available right down the road.  We went to our local Meijer store here in Michigan, found them on the shelf and picked up a few of their 60 count packs.

Of course once I get to the baby aisle I’m like a kid in a candy store. I have to stop and tell every baby how cute they are & look at all the stuff I don’t need! Look at this place. I had to get out of there quick before I came home wanting another baby!

So, we brought our WaterWipes home and we have been using them for a few days now and I have to tell you, I love them! They are so “pure”. They don’t have a scent. They don’t leave a weird film on your body. No weird shiny or shimmering stuff of unknown origin.  There are no dyes, there is nothing but water & 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. They are absolutely on par with other brands. They’re lightweight yet they’re durable & don’t just pull apart the minute you use them.

In the past when I would grab one of my kids faces & wipe them down with a baby wipe they would wiggle & squirm & make all sorts of faces but these wipes are so different! They just feel nice on your face and hands. Silje uses them to wipe her face up herself and when we use them in other places I don’t feel guilty or worried she’s going to get a rash or her skin will be irritated. Even though it’s mostly just water they remove any smells. It’s pretty amazing. Just one thing to remember though is that they are not flushable. They are regular baby wipes, just… better. Chemical free!

As a mother of a child with food and indoor/outdoor allergies, and someone who has talked to thousands upon thousands of women through first-time-mommy.com over the years that had babies who suffered from eczema, rashes, sensitive skin, and even just moms that want products that are effective that have simple ingredients…. I most definitely recommend WaterWipes!

You need to check these out for yourself!  Go to their store locator, read up on their website & make sure to visit them on social media at the links below! I think you will be pleasantly surprised, we were!
