Hello. My name is Monica and I’m a first time mother of a beautiful boy who was born in April 2008. I am married to a former musician from Norway who I met online almost 10 years ago. I love to travel and have done an extensive amount of it over the years and hope to again someday. My biggest hobby (when I have time) is amateur photography and digital artwork. Some of which I share with my readers.
I’ve also held many jobs that have helped shape me into who I am. That’s right! I haven’t always been a stay-at-home mom. I’ve managed a Q.C. office at an automobile parts manufacturer, I’ve done telemarketing and sales of retirement annuities to non-profits, I’ve even proof read code for automobile manuals. The most important job I ever had that could have prepared me for motherhood though, was working in the home health care industry. I worked with the elderly, the disabled and those on hospice. I met a lot of wonderful people and in the end realized that life isn’t always about how much money you have. It’s about family. It’s about those you surround yourself with. That’s why I decided to settle down and start my own little family, and that’s why this blog exists.
My pregnancy was quite hard and during most of those months I waited for my son to arrive I was alone. (Very little family and a husband who worked away from home 6-8 weeks at a time.) I scoured the internet for hours on end for information regarding pregnancy and the birthing process. I discovered that the thing I most enjoyed reading were other people’s stories. Usually just random blogs I found on the net.
When my son was 6 months old I finally started this blog in hopes of connecting with other moms to share what *I* had learned and just to have a way to discuss the products I found useful along the way. Please feel free to say hi. I love connecting with new people and reading your amazing stories!
I’m currently waiting on my 2nd son who is due September 2010! You think the last one being 10lbs (yes that’s right) would have discouraged me but it hasn’t! This pregnancy has me on bed rest so I am a little slower with my personal posts at the time. I hope you understand!

I AM PR Friendly!
I have found over the course of the last two years that I have wasted a lot of money on products I thought I needed and especially one’s that didn’t work. Now that I’m a mother I feel the need to save as much as possible but without giving up quality. I absolutely love reviewing products that are relevant to this blog. Right now that is anything for toddlers and of course the new baby on the way. This will probably be my last child therefore my last opportunity to really check out a lot of the items available to new moms (Which most of my readers consist of).
