Just a couple of years ago I cleaned out all our flower beds. I planted some beautiful rose bushes I found on clearance & then I eventually filled our other beds up with some annuals & perennials after hours and hours of weed picking. It's hard work! I even bought one of those topsy turvy things and planted some tomatoes. Unfortunately when it came to fertilizing the soil I got a little scared so I decided not to. Thing is, I didn't want to use anything at all with chemicals in it. Ever since I had my first son I've been really leery of non-organic weed killers or fertilizers. I even stopped having our lawn sprayed. We have dandelions galore but I feel safe when my children are playing in the grass.
Can you believe this was taken only 2 years ago? Back when I had 1 baby, now I'm on my 3rd! Wow time flies & those flowers are now past the window sils!
Since I'm about to have another baby any time now I keep thinking about how I can't wait to get outside this summer & get the yard back to looking nice again.
