When I had my first son I prided myself on the fact that one time and one time only I was peed on. I thought I had diaper changing down to a science and always scoffed and laughed at all the products I seen to cover babies up, especially little boys who are known for being a little hard to control.

When my second son arrived 6 weeks ago I was in for a big surprise. He didn’t hold anything in. As soon as a cold breeze hit him his clothes, the couch, the floor, my bed, wherever I was changing him was soaked. He must have caught me by surprise 9 or 10 times in the first week alone. So much for my almost flawless record.

Then I came across Baby Bubadoo on Twitter. The Baby Bubadoo changing wrap was developed by a Pharmacist Mom to overcome the very issues I have been dealing with. Ie: Flailing arms, scratching of the face, accidents all over his clothes. The Baby Bubadoo changing wrap is simply a piece of cotton cloth with a water-resistant outer shell that closes around baby with velcro thus putting their arms in the swaddle position, leaving them unable to get their little arms and hands in the way.

The Review

Speaking of hands, I only have 2 of them and it can be quite tricky to keep baby from scratching his face and peeing on his clothes all while dealing with a 2 year old that’s trying to help at the same time, so when I finally got to try out the changing wrap you can imagine how happy I was to see it was just as easy to use as I imagined. Just 3 simple steps. Check out Aidan trying to protest!

In the end I won. Baby’s arms and clothes were contained and we had no messes on our new carpet! Yay.

The Baby Bubadoo would make the perfect baby shower gift for a new mom. It’s a nice quality fabric, comes in 3 cute colors and 3 convenient sizes.
