I was absolutely amazed and especially delighted that a mom came up with the concept. Time after time I have seen plastic bottles in the garbage. We know not everyone takes the time to recycle so just the fact that these bottles use an incredible amount of less plastic than regular bottles is great.
HDPE plastic bottles that commonly hold household cleaners take hundreds of years to decompose. However, Ecologic bottles can be recycled or composted, and the plastic pouch can be recycled with your plastic bags at your local grocery store.

I recently saw some pieces on shows like CNN and the journal with Joan Lunden that were talking about issues and solutions for industrial recycling.
