If you’ve ever used regular baby powder you’ve definitely noticed what a big mess it can make. Not to mention the huge dust cloud it can create. Imagine breathing that in. It’s because of those reasons I have avoided using baby powder on both my children.
Now thanks to the innovation of Baby Magic we don’t have to worry about those things. They have created the first ever patented dustless baby powder. It’s cleverly called The Patty Cake. It comes in a compact with several round pads. You use the round pads once and then dispose of them.
When you open it up you’re presented with baby powder in the first compartment and if you look below at the pictures I took you’ll see that when you open it from the bottom you have a place to store some of the pads. When it’s fully closed it’s about the size of a regular compact.

This powder would have come in handy for me last year when I got stuck waiting in a line for 1/2 hour to change my child’s diaper at the zoo and ended up having to do it in a stall. I could have at least applied it after and worried less about him coming in contact with a lot of extra moisture in case we had to wait in line again for an extended amount of time. Also, this would have been far easier to apply than diaper cream while your child is standing up and you have nowhere to wipe your hands!
The only problem I had with the Patty Cake is that before I even opened it, I broke it. Like any other compact you have to be careful. I dropped mine quite hard on the kitchen floor. It stayed intact but it did get cracked.
Another thing is, I don’t advise using this on anywhere but your child’s rear end. As a girl, who used to get urinary tract infections from anything and everything as a child you have to be extra careful where you put powder. Of course the box says “For external use only” but I just thought I would stress that.

I also had the opportunity to try out Baby Magic Gentle Hair & Body Wash along with their Baby Lotion, both in the Blossoms scent. The scent is extremely light, which I love. Both are:

As most of you know my baby has eczema and he’s had a few allergic reactions along the way as well. My 3 yr old doesn’t have any allergies thank goodness but he does have super sensitive skin. I’m glad to report that after several days of use neither one had an adverse reaction which is great because as I already said I really love the scent and I have always loved washes that are combined with shampoo. It makes things a lot easier with less bottles!
