The Art of Marriage Ops Blog App & $20 Applebee’s Gift Card Giveaway (Now Closed)

For many service men and women the day they return home is the happiest day of their lives, but what happens after the reunion is over?  Military divorces have increased 42% since 2001 and it’s our goal to help strengthen the marriages of those who fight for us.

With a brother in the marines and several family members and friends who have served I know just how hard it can be to stay separated for so long, but I can’t even imagine how hard it is for married couples.. unfortunately I know that some of YOU do know.

With the The Art of Marriage Ops blog app we all can help the men and women who have defended our country fight the war in their backyard! Please check it out and be sure to view the 5 inspirational date night ideas that can help bring you closer to your partner, military or not.

How You Can Help:

  • Spread The Word! Did you or someone you love serve in the military?  Help us spread to word and share the app on your Facebook or Twitter!  Use hashtag #marriageops !  The more people who realize this is an issue, brings us one step closer to help solving the problem.
  • Donate!  Text OPS to 80888 and donate $10.00 to help our men and women in the military strengthen their relationship by attending an event showcasing The Art of Marriage!  Less than the price of two cups of coffee!

    i liked the video

  5. I think this is a fantastic idea! I grew up as an Army “brat” and was married to a Navy sailor – so I know first hand just how difficult it can be to maintain a marriage when one spouse is in the service!

  6. well I am bawling like a baby…those reunions were so touching and the looks on the kids faces were priceless when they were surprised..this video also makes me angry because we should not have to donate for this, the gov should just PAY for it. they just leave the soldiers to deal with all of this on their own and that is unacceptable. I appreciate that this exists but it still makes me sad that its needed.

  7. Most people don’t realize how war affects families. I think a video like this should be shown on TV. Thanks.

  8. It made me cry. It is so sad to see how being gone affects the soldiers and their families. The reunions were very touching.

  18. I think this is such a great video. My husband returns in less than 3 weeks from being deployed for a little over a year so this really hits home.

  19. This is a touching video especially where the father is reading the Mickey book to his daughter through the TV. I’m glad that attention is being given to the difficulties that military husbands and wives may go through.
