Carmex Moisture Plus Ultra-Hydrating Lip Balms –Review & Giveaway (Now Closed)

Carmex® the makers of the lip balm we all know and love recently added two new products to their lineup. Carmex Moisture Plus™ ultra-hydrating lip balms with tints of sheer color. Sheer pink and sheer peach mark the first time in their nearly 75 year history that Carmex has added a color to its products.

The satin gloss finish provides a hint of peach or pink color. This premium ultra-hydrating lip balm with a slant tip applicator provides intense moisturizing with vitamin E, aloe, shea butter and avocado butter and has an SPF 15 to provide additional protection. These new lip balm products are exclusively available at Walgreens and Walgreens.com.

The new Moisture Plus tints join the popular Carmex family of products, including original Carmex Moisture Plus ultra hydrating lip balm, which provides a clear, satin gloss finish.

Review

As a new member of the Carmex Blog Squad I recently had the opportunity to test these out. To be honest with you I didn’t think I was going to like the tinted Moisture Plus lip balm. I’m a brown kind of girl and it’s a very rare day that I wear any type of makeup that is pink or peach colored, especially during the fall/winter months. I am glad to say however that the tint is just that, it’s not a full on color. Thank goodness because I’m just not the right complexion for peach.

My overall opinion of the lip balm is a positive one. I have wore them every day now for almost a week and they have helped my lips so much! I found that they lasted around 3 hours for me, which is perfect for a lip balm. I have always loved Carmex and the original will always be my all time favorite but these lip balms are nice to keep in the purse. It didn’t hurt me to put a little color on my lips and stop being such a plain Jane these days, in fact it made me feel kind of girly. I just hope that Carmex will consider a more earthy color if they decide to expand this line. If you don’t win the giveaway remember that these would make a great stocking stuffer!
