The New 4 in 1 Towel for Baby–The Aacua by Maamam Review and Giveaway (Now Closed)

aacuaMaamam, is a company started by two mothers who, like all of us have realized that even in this day and age there is still room for improvement on many products that we regularly use with our children. They have an objective to create modern, safe, innovative and practical products.

The Aacua towel is just that. Extremely practical and innovative. As a mother of 2 children I know how difficult it can be to bathe a baby when you’re all alone and don’t have an extra set of hands to hold out a towel for you. I’m sure you’ve all had similar experiences. You’re standing there, babies in the bathtub at the sink and you have the towel up against your body, holding it in place with your chin, or standing there balancing it on your body. All the while you’re trying to grab this slippery little baby and get them in the towel before the towel, you or even baby falls. It can be kind of scary when you’re a new mom especially.

The Aacua towel (pronounced Aqua) functions in 4 different ways and is useful for babies and toddlers, meaning it grows with your child so to say.

  • As an apron – Fasten it around your neck and behind you (with velcro) and keep your clothes and the floor dry while bathing baby. When bath time is over you simply unfasten behind you and wrap baby up in the towel. This keeps your hands free for holding baby.
  • A swaddler – After baby is bathed you can use the Aacua as a swaddler to keep baby nice and warm until you’re ready to dress them.
  • As a bath wrap for larger babies and toddlers. Convenient slits in the Aacua make it easy to use as a wrap. You can see my son modeling it this way in the picture below.
  • As a towel - The Aacua is 100% cotton terry. It’s absorbent yet lightweight. It would be perfect for after swimming.

Because of Aidan’s large size (He’s 29 inches – 19lbs at 5 1/2 months) I was unable to use the Aacua as a swaddler but it worked great as a bath wrap/robe. He loved it so much that right after this he fell asleep in it! I was able to cover him up and keep him nice and cozy.

We loved reviewing the Aacua and recommend it to all new moms.  It would also make the perfect baby shower present.

    Great idea. I would choose the aqua one. Both of my daughters are pregnant and are due later on this summer. Don’t know which one I would give it to. Hmmm.
