Wordless Wednesday: What Am I Going To Do When There’s 3?

I know I know.. Wordless Wednesday…..

Last week the sun popped out and it was a balmy 40 degrees! We ran out of the house, and headed for a local park. I was literally turning in opposite directions every 60 seconds. Vincent ran for the BIGGEST slide possible and made sure to hang over the edge far enough to give me a slight heart attack all while screaming “look at me mommy haha hoo hoahahaha”.  While Aidan ran directly towards the only road in the whole dang place, over and over and over again until falling in the mud. I chased after him with my stupid pregnancy jeans practically falling off.  As you can see from Aidan’s face he thought it was hilarious. So I let him play on the play area and what did he do? He crawled right up those stairs and RAN towards every opening with at least a 2 ft. drop!  We then headed to the swings where no sooner did I start pushing Vincent, Aidan ran up and boom they both collided.  They laughed. I had another small heart attack and it was then that I thought…

what the hell am I going to do when I have 3 little kids and only one set of eyes? I’m a little worried.

  1. You will make it work. Won’t be so bad until the little one learn to crawl/walk, but you will figure it out! I used to work in the child care field. Watching ten 3-4 year olds at a park can give you a run for your money:) I think the biggest key is to get involved in what they are doing instead of just watching. That way you have some control over what is going on. Our fav. thing to do at the park is to pretend we are going on a safari or the zoo. We walk slowly on the equipment and pretend we see different animals. Then we slide down a giant mountain (go down the slide) or cross a dangerous river (over the bridge) with alligators. Being actively involved will pull in the kids so they are right by you and not running in opposite directions. It’s tiring but so much more fun than sitting my the side and watching. I’ve got number 3 on the way too.
